After finishing my junior year at Waterford, I transferred to Provo High and graduated a Bulldog. I served a mission in Nagoya Japan under Byron Ames' dad as my mission president. I finished in '93 and began my long tenure at BYU in the graphic design program. I married Nancy Hui (that's Chinese: she was born and raised in Michigan, but her parents came from Hong Kong) in Aug 1998. Classic BYU family-home-evening-group story. She had just finished her second year of her 3 year undergrad program. I was in my second senior year with only 2 more to go in my 8 year program.
A few years later, we moved to Michigan on a whim and wound up going grad school in Ann Arbor (following in Lisa Wilde’s footsteps—although Dr. is not in my title). I came out an urban planner, and moved to the Chicago area. A couple of years after that, the entire field of land development died and I redeployed as a marketing guy. Now I promote hearing aids. Pretty awesome ones at that. Love to tell you about them sometime. In fact we’re running a special for the next 3 days with pricing you may never see again. But you have to call today to secure your appointment, because we’re filling up fast.
We have 3 kids, Jensen (boy, 10), Audrey (girl, 7), and Mika (girl, 4). We are also expecting a girl in November.
